ALOEFOAM CONDITIONING SHAMPOO::

This formula utilizes a blend of ultra-mild surfactants for excellent foaming. Cocamidopropyl Betaine is a mild coconut-oil-derived surfactant. Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate is an extremely gentle surfactant that is non-irritating to eyes at 3%, and non-irritating to skin at 70%! UltraPureGel (Sclerotium Gum) thickens the shampoo naturally! Glycerin acts as the humectant. The addition of DL Panthenol 100 (ProVitamin B5) strengthens & nourishes hair, resulting in less breakage. Alkyl Esters provides improved combability, shine, and a conditioned after-feel. Aloe Vera 200X Powder packs the product with Vitamins, minerals, amino acids, sugars, enzymes, saponins, lignin and fatty acids! Hydrolyzed Silk Protein delivers softness, repair, and water binding power... for a fabulous product that's easy to make! Working with surfactants plus multi phase procedure gives this formula a skill rating of Advanced.

Ingredients:

Phase A

Make Formula
100 g
55% Distilled Water or Purified Water
0.5% Aloe Vera 200X Powder, Organic
1% DL-Panthenol 100
1.5% Gluconolactone & Sodium Benzoate (GSB)
1% UltraPureGel
5% Vegetable Glycerin, USP Kosher
Phase B
7% Cocamidopropyl Betaine
5% Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate
20% Sulfoacetate Sulfosuccinate Blend
1% Alkyl Esters
Phase C
2% Silk Protein Hydrolyzed
1% Essential Oil Blend (AT530 Healthy Locks recommended)

DIRECTIONS:

1. Combine phase A and mix well to ensure that powders dissolve completely. Heat to 170F and hold for 20 minutes.
2. Mix the components of phase B well to ensure there are no lumps. Heat to 170F.
3. Begin gentle mixing of phase A and add phase B to combine. Cool to 110F.
4. Add phase C, mixing gently.

TIPS / NOTES ::

When you are dissolving phase A you will not be able to completely dissolve GSB but, keep mixing until there are no more than a few crystals that settle to the bottom, when you stop mixing, otherwise your shampoo may have grit when cooled.

You may substitute any of our Botanical Extract Blends, for the Glycerin, to improve performance and label appeal.

Because you will be using 0.5% Aloe 200x powder you are turning your entire water phase into pure Aloe Vera Juice so your label
should not list water, it should list Aloe Vera Juice.
