BioChelate
|
BioChelate is a fully biodegradable chelator (chelating agent) for use in personal care formulations. BioChelate is the natural progression in the replacement of Tetrasodium EDTA.
BioChelate may be used as a alternative to EDTA in neutralizing Carbomer, or other, solutions. Typically you will use a one to one substitution however, testing should be done to make your own determination as the other ingredients may influence pH shifting. BioChelate does an excellent job of chelating (binding) heavy metals to prevent their negative impact on your formulations. Especially when using natural cleansers you should see significant improvement through the addition of a chelator (chelating agent).
When working with BabyFoam, or BabyFoam NG, the incorporation of BioChelate (chelating agent) will dramatically improve water solubility to increase stability and function. The biodegradable nature of BioChelate makes it an excellent choice for these applications.
