Dream Cream - Goat Milk Lotion Recipe

Milk Based Lotion::

This fabulous skin loving lotion or cream uses Meyenberg Powdered Goat Milk as a base. It is important to heat the milk to 170 degrees and hold at this temperature for 15 to 20 minutes to insure the milk has no bacteria. Then your preservative will keep it preserved just fine. Goat's Milk is a rejuvenator and a moisturizer when used on the skin. The caprylic acid it contains is responsible for it's low pH. This helps the skin maintain it's natural balance, making it less vulnerable to bacterial invasion. Try this recipe to learn the technique of making milk based lotions. Ingredients:

Phase A		Make Formula 100 g
68.5%	Distilled Water or Purified Water
5%	Powdered Goat Milk
5%	Vegetable Glycerin
0.5%	Allantoin
2.0%	Gluconolactone & Sodium Benzoate
Phase B
5%	BTMS Emulsifying Conditioner
3%	E-Wax
7%	Shea Butter
2%	Jojoba
Phase C
1%	Quinoa (Keenwa) Protein, Hydrolyzed
1%	Essential Oil Blend

Directions:

Add Phase A while mixing well. Make sure Allantoin is dissolved before heating Phase A. Heat to 170f and hold for 20 minutes being careful to not boil or over heat and burn the milk.
Add Phase B, and bring heat back to 170f to make sure Shea butter is melted completely.
Start to cool product and once below 110f, add Phase C. Mixing every several minutes during the cooling process to make sure the product is emulsified.
Mix well and you are ready to package.
