Lemon 5X Essential Oil

Lemon 5X Essential Oil is a sweet, sligtly tart oil cold pressed from the peel of Citrus limonum and then vacuum distilled to concentrate the aromatic compounds, resulting in a oil that is stronger, more well rounded, and much sweeter, than the traditional pressed Lemon essential oil. Lemon 5X Essential Oil, like all of the yellow fruits is uplifting, and refreshing, when it's aroma is encountered.

Lemon 5X Essential Oil is cold pressed from the peel of non-sprayed fruit. Lemon Essential Oil, and Lime Essential Oil, are so close that they are often used interchangeably however, Lemon Essential Oil is slightly higher in alehydes but, they can both be considered excellent oils for cleansing and refining the complexion. The 5X distilled essential oils can be regarded as safer alternatives with regard to the irritation potential of the traditional pressed oils especially where photo sensitivity is concerned and they can be considered closer to steam distilled and a much less problematic than conventional pressed Lemon Essential Oil.

THERAPEUTIC ACTIVITY :: Lemon Essential Oil is well known, like the other, tart citrus, fruits, to offer an uplifting effect, just from taking in the fragrance. These oils are refreshing and offer some relief from anxiety and stress. In skin care, all of the citrus fruits offer some assistance in cleansing, and controlling, oily skin conditions and they should not be used on dry skin unless combined with other essential oils to counter the drying effects.

FRAGRANCE IMPACT :: The bright, fresh, scent of Lemon Essential Oil is a great choice when you need to give a blend some 'lift', which explains why they are one of the most popular additions to cleansers, and scrubs, where they are well suited due to their cleansing, and purifying, effect on the tissues. In perfuming Lemon X5 Essential Oil offers a fresh, sweet, citrus scent that gives your blend some 'lift' and a pleasant bright top note, very similar to Lime Essential Oil. Unlike Lime Essential Oil, Lemon X5 Essential Oil will not give the super sweet impact, making it more suitable to perfume blends.

Don't Forget ... when you swap 5x for regular lemon essential oil you'll only use about 20% to get the same fragrance impact.

• for a gently uplifting effect try combining with grapefruit red essential oil, lavender essential oil and neroli essential oil

CAUTION

Because this oil is expressed from the peel, when not fully ripe, it is known to contain a fairly high level of chemicals (coumarins) that will intensify the damaging effects of the sun, increasing the burning potential on the skin. It is important that this oil not be used immediately prior to sun exposure or without a sunscreen. While it is believed that the further distilled oils will not contain significant amounts of the courmarins, that remains to be proven with any real certainty, so we are advising that caution should be used until it is proven without a doubt.

Because this oil contains citral use caution in the bath as there is potential for serious irritation. Always include a high level of monoterpene alcohols, and / or Anti-Oxidants, to help reduce the irritation potential.
